About Me
Hi, I'm Elisa Bronzini,
I am a qualified Sports Therapist with a strong background in sports performance, rehabilitation and athlete development. I hold a BSc in Sports & Exercise Science from Nottingham Trent University and a Master's degree in Sports & Exercise Therapy from Leeds Beckett University, alongside qualifications in Sports Massage Therapy (Levels 3 & 4).
I am bilingual in Italian & English, originally from Rome and in Harrogate (UK) since 2013. My academic background is supported by extensive practical experience working with athletes and active individuals at different stages of training, performance and recovery.
An Athlete Who Understands Athletes
Alongside my professional work, I am an elite gymnast, competing regionally and nationally across the UK, as well as in Italy, Portugal and Germany.
This firsthand experience as an athlete, allows me to truly understand the physical and mental demands of sports, injuries and return-to-performance - not just from a clinical perspective, but from lived experience.
Coaching Experience
I am a Level 2 Women's Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) Coach and Strength & Conditioning and Rehabilitation Coach at Harrogate Gymnastics Club, where I work with gymnasts across different ages, disciplines and development stages.
My coaching role involves delivering structured gymnastics training alongside age-appropriate strength, conditioning, and injury prevention work, supporting athletes to develop safely while progressing their physical performance. I work closely with gymnasts to improve strength, power, control, and movement quality, ensuring training aligns with the technical and physical demands of the sport.
Alongside coaching, I apply principles from strength & conditioning and sports therapy to support long-term athlete development, load management, and return-to-training following injury. This integrated approach allows me to bridge the gap between gymnastics coaching, performance training, and rehabilitation support.
Clinical & Performance Placement Experience
I have gained valuable clinical and performance experience across professional rugby, football, and university sports settings, working within multidisciplinary teams and applied performance environments.
These experiences have strengthened my clinical assessment skills, rehabilitation planning and understanding of athlete preparation and return-to-sport across different sporting demands.
